Re: Rippling River Housing

Dear Mr. Lindley and Board Members,

We would like to add our commendation to the Board, County staff, and all others who have worked diligently for more than a year on development of a plan that will permit rehabilitation of the Rippling River housing complex. You are justifiably proud of what has been accomplished so far under the joint agreement between the County and the Monterey County Housing Authority. We particularly appreciate the efforts of Supervisor Potter and his staff, the Carmel Valley Community members and others who have supported the residents, and the residents themselves. Everyone has recognized the importance of preserving this facility for County residents with special housing needs.

The project has presented serious challenges up to this point, and clearly a great deal of work must still be done. We thank you for the County's commitment to it and are very hopeful that, with continued collaboration, it will soon be successfully completed.

Sincerely,
     Marilyn Maxner, President
